Cricut’s Cuttlebug A2 Embossing Folders
What is a Cuttlebug embossing folder? It is a plastic folder with a raised image on one side and a depressed image on the other side. You place your paper inside the embossing folder and then sandwich it between the required spacers and mats as determined by the embossing machine and then run it through the machine by turning the hand crank. The result is an embossed paper (raised edges of the image on one side, depressed edges on the other). You can use either side of your completed paper creation to embellish cards, etc.
Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine
Can a Sizzix Texture Boutique work with Cuttlebug folders? YES! I have learned that A2 and smaller sized folders will work in the Sizzix machine pictured above. I have used the three Cuttlebug embossing folders pictured above in the Sizzix with fantastic results. Please note, the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine embosses only; it does not die-cut. If you want it to do both, you may want to purchase Cricut’s Cuttlebug machine ($60.26 from Amazon). I rely on my Cricut Expression to cut the image that I want to emboss; therefore, it was more economical for me to purchase the Sizzix ($27.87 from Amazon).
