Welcome to my new blog, “Southern Cricut Lady”! I decided to create this blog to share my Cricut creations with others. I have dabbled a little bit with scrapbooking but I have absolutely fallen in love with making cards. This week I made a shape card by using my Design Studio software from Cricut. I welded a ladybug to another ladybug image which I flipped and rotated and I just love the results. Click on my photos below to see how it turned out.
I made this card for my sister and her husband when their beloved cat, Biscuit, died. The card is cut from Wild Card and the images are cut from Four Legged Friends.
From Walk in My Garden (WIMG) Cricut Cartridge. Cut card and envelope at 5 3/8 inches using The Paper Studio’s Poteeka Souffle paper for card face and Cricut’s Earthtones cardstock for card base. Also cut the bread tag from WIMG at 2 inches.
A “Thinking of You” card for my husband’s Mom. Cut using Walk in My Garden (WIMG) at 5 1/4 inches. Used Design Studio (DS) Cricut software to flip/rotate/weld images together prior to cutting. Envelope cut from Wild Card. Used DS to stretch sides out and shrink top in to come up with appropriate sized envelope (5 1/2 X 7 1/2).
Used Word to type sentiment and applied Word’s ladybug paragraph border.
I used a cuttlebug folder called D’vine Swirls on both red shells for texture.
I used a Cuttlebug folder (Stylized Flowers) and embossing pens and powders to create this look.
