Are you in shock? It’s me, I promise. I’ve been MIA lately but never too far from the craft room. I did some cleaning and reorganizing but I’ve kept a low profile because I didn’t have any paper crafts to share until tonight. I finally got back in the craft room to get re-energized and to remind myself how much I do enjoy making cards. I made this little Easter card using my new Fancy Frames cartridge that hubby got me this month just because.
I wonder if he was secretly trying to aid me in creating again. I still have so many other goodies to delve into from Christmas and my birthday but I decided to take it slow as I got reacquainted with my Cricut machine. The last time I used it was in December! Well, enough of me trying to explain where I’ve been and why I haven’t been on here lately. I don’t really know why myself, but I have missed blogging, crafting, and reaching out to all my blog pals!
This simple Easter card is A2 (4.25 inches by 5.5 inches). I used Design Studio to scale the light green Fancy Frames image to 4 inches by 5.25 inches. I cut the corresponding background mat in pink at the same size. The bunny rabbit is cut at 3.75 inches from Four Legged Friends. I used Stardust Stickles on its belly, a pom-pom for the tail, and squiggly eyes for some whimsy. Each carrot (front and inside of the card) is cut from Just Because Cards at 3 inches.
I stamped “for you” on the front carrot using Fiskars “All Year Greetings”. I love this little stamp! I added a small bow of twine to the carrot as if it was a gift from the bunny.
The Happy Easter stamp on the inside is from Stampabilities.
Most of the paper used is from Colorbök (I recently learned it’s pronounced as color book, not color bock! I love getting their solid colored cardstock pads at Wal-mart for $5. They cut cleanly and have a nice linen texture.
Thanks for checking out my wee little card. It’s simple, but I’m taking my journey back into paper crafting nice and slow!

Very cute card. I am glad to see you back in action. Love, Paula Ann

Hi Florence! It’s always great to hear from you too! I’m enjoying your dedicated card blog. You’re so talented in so many crafts so I like how you made two blogs to feature your work! Both are so inspiring! Take care! ~Vanessa
